Doncaster Schools sign up to cyberbullying initiative
Member for Doncaster Mary Wooldridge has announced that four schools in the Doncaster area are among the first in the state to sign up to the Victorian Coalition Government funded $10.5 million eSmart cyberbullying program. eSmart is a cybersafety program created by the Alannah and Madeline Foundation and will be available to every government school across the state and 300 Catholic and independent schools over the next four years. more


BreastScreen Victoria Launches Annual Report Card
The biggest risk factor for breast cancer is being a woman and over 50 years of age. This is the reason why BreastScreen Victoria invites women aged 50-69, who do not have breast symptoms or changes, to have a FREE screening mammogram every two years. Regular screening mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early, before any symptoms are noticed, and when treatment is likely to be most successful.more


Manningham nominations sought for Women's Honour Roll
The Doncaster area has been called on to honour inspirational women by nominating them for the 2012 Victorian Honour Roll of Women. The Member for Doncaster and Minister for Women’s Affairs Mary Wooldridge, encouraged Manningham community organisations and individuals to nominate women from this area.more


Construction commences on new Box Hill Hospital
Minister for Health David Davis announced today that construction of the $447.5 million Box Hill Hospital redevelopment has begun “The Victorian Coalition Government has committed an extra $40 million in the 2011-12 Budget, delivering on an election commitment and bringing total funding for this project to $447.5 million,” Mr Davis said.more
