Working Together For Doncaster

Welcome to my website and thank you for visiting.

It is a great honour and privilege to have been elected the Member of Parliament for Doncaster in November 2006.

Listening to you is my number one priority so please do my survey and let me know what issues are important to you.

I hope you find lots of useful information about who I am, what I think is important and what I am working on.

DRIVERS UNDER 25 YEARS OF AGE HAVE YOUR SAY

Should tougher restrictions be placed on drivers under the age of 25? There is increasing concern about the Brumby Labor Government's intentions to implement a range of significant driving restrictions for young people.

I am keen to know how you feel about the Brumby Labor Government's proposed changes to the law. Please click here to participate in a survey that will assist me in understanding your thoughts.

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to complete this survey so far.

WILL BUS LANES WORK FOR YOU?

Peak hour bus lanes are to be implemented along Doncaster Road and Mitcham Road from June 15, 2010.

I have already been approached by local businesses who are concerned at the potential impact this may have on their business as the bus lanes will be in operation for five hours each working day. This will mean no parking will be allowed on either side of the road during 7 am to 9 am or 4 pm to 7 pm.

I would be interested in knowing how this may affect your business and whether you support this proposal. Following some approaches by local business I have written to the Minister for Roads and Ports asking that he consider implementing peak hour bus lanes only on one side of the road at a time in an effort to reduce any adverse impact on local traders. Please contact me if you have any concerns about this plan.
